Baked carrots with orange
If you love a combination of sweet and savory foods, you should try the recipe for baked carrots with orange. You can serve this as a side dish with protein, as desired, or you can eat it as a separate meal. Since you have to bake oranges with peel, try to find fruits of organic origin. Enjoy.

Ingredients:
1 medium orange, cut in half
6 large carrots, peeled, chopped into pieces
2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
¾ tsp salt
½ tsp chili powder
2 tbsp parsley leaves, coarsely chopped
a pinch of black pepper
Instructions:
1. Heat the oven at 180 °C.
2. Cut one orange half in 4 slices (with the peel). Cut slices in thin triangles.
3. Put orange triangles, carrots, olive oil, salt, and chili powder in a medium-sized bowl and mix.
4. Spread oranges and carrots evenly in a large pan, previously lined with baking paper. Bake for 15 minutes, then turn the carrots and bake for another 20 to 30 minutes, or until it softens and the edges get golden.
5. Move the carrots and oranges to a serving bowl. Squeeze juice from the other half of the orange on top, add parsley leaves and black pepper, then stir everything well.
6. Serve and enjoy.
