Blueberry oatmeal
Oatmeal has been shown to regulate and protect bowel function, strengthen muscle and bone structure, and lower bad cholesterol levels. It is especially recommended for athletes because it retains a long sense of satiety, without too much strain on the digestive tract. My favorite breakfast of all time is – blueberry oatmeal! This recipe with blueberries (which are rich in antioxidants!), is ideal for a wonderful summer morning.
Ingredients:
6 tbsp oats
1 cup of unsweetened almond or rice milk
1 tbsp agave syrup
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp of cocoa
½ cup of frozen or fresh blueberries
Instructions:
Mix oats, almond milk, agave syrup, cinnamon, cocoa and blueberries in a bowl. Cover the top of the bowl and refrigerate overnight or for at least two hours. Enjoy!
