Chia cherry jam
I love the smell of homemade jam, and you? I promise this treat will make your day. Best of all, you can control the amount of sugar and other ingredients when preparing CHIA CHERRY JAM, which is extremely tasty and healthy at the same time. Chia seeds are full of protein, fiber and omega-3 fatty acids, and when you combine them with antioxidants and other nutrients from fruits, you get an extra healthy and tasty combination.
Ingredients:
1 cup cherries, fresh or frozen
1 tsp lemon juice
2 tbsp agave syrup
2 tbsp chia seeds
Instructions:
Put cherries, lemon juice and agave syrup in a small pot, and cook them on medium heat for 7-10 minutes. Move the pot from the stove, wait for it to cool down a bit, and then use a hand blender to blend the mixture to the desired consistency. Pour 2 tbsp chia seeds into the mixture, mix well and let the jam thicken for about 15 minutes. If you’re not satisfied with the obtained consistency, add another spoonful of chia seeds. Pour the jam into a glass jar or bowl. Serve with pancakes, galettes, oatmeal, fresh fruit, etc. Bon Appetit!
