Deviled eggs with lentil hummus

I have seen this popular appetizer for years at various celebrations, especially brunches. What I’ve also noticed is that 90 percent of housewives opt for filling the eggs with a mixture of dairy products, mayonnaise, or other non-healthy options, thereby unnecessarily increasing calorie and fat intake. I opted for homemade lentil hummus which is super easy to make. Try deviled eggs with lentil hummus.

Ingredients:
5 eggs
pre-cooked lentils
black sesame seeds and chopped parsley leaves for decoration

Instructions:
Once the eggs have cooled down, peel them and cut them in halves. Remove the yolks and fill the space with hummus instead. Decorate as desired and serve.

Lentil hummus ingredients:
1 cup (2 dl) of cooked green lentils
2 garlic cloves
1 handful fresh parsley leaves
2 tbsp lemon juice or more if preferred
salt to taste

Instructions:
Blend all the ingredients in a blender until you have a smooth consistency. Then try the hummus and add more lemon juice or salt if needed. Enjoy!
