Homemade sriracha sauce
Sriracha is a sauce, originally from Si Racha in Thailand. It is believed that it was created from a desire to make a side dish that goes perfectly with any Thai dish. There is a quick and easy way to prepare it at home. This simple do-it-yourself version isn’t traditional but mimics its taste thanks to the right ingredients. Look for the recipe below.
Preparation time: 15 minutes
Servings: around 120 ml or 1 small jar
Ingredients:
1 red pepper, chopped into small pieces
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 ½-2 tsp red chili pepper flakes
1 tsp agave syrup
½ tsp salt + more to taste
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 tbsp tomato paste
Instructions:
1. Mix all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
2. Try it out and adjust the taste if needed. Leave until cool.
3. Serve the resulting sriracha sauce with protein, as desired, and enjoy.
