Peanut maca smoothie

I’m always in the mood for creating new recipes where I can include maca. This time I made a mix of ingredients and got a peanut maca smoothie as a result. Are you familiar with this superfood?

Unlike other adaptogenic plants containing caffeine, maca does not have substances with a stimulating effect on the central nervous system. Adaptogenic plants are really important for physical and mental health. Not only they will make it easier to cope with the effects of long-term exposure to stress, but adaptogens also act as medicine by stimulating immunity and improving the overall sense of well-being.

Ingredients:
2 large frozen bananas
3 dl unsweetened almond milk
1 tbsp peanut butter
1 tbsp maca root powder
1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:
Put all the ingredients in a blender and process until smooth. Pour into a glass and serve.
