Salmon in a Sicilian way
If you haven’t baked salmon yet, here’s a great recipe to delight your family. With mushrooms and broccoli, this salmon in a Sicilian way is a great idea for lunch or dinner. Let me know your impressions.
Ingredients:
For salmon:
3 pieces of salmon
2 tsp smoked pepper flakes
1 tsp chili powder
salt and black pepper to taste
juice of 1 lemon
olive oil for the marinade
For mushrooms:
250 g chopped mushrooms
30 g unsalted Ghee butter
3-4 cloves of garlic, minced
1 small red onion, chopped into small cubes
1 tbsp olive oil
1 broccoli, separate flowers by hand
Instructions:
Wash the salmon and then dry it with a paper towel. Heat the oven to 180°C. Cover the baking sheet with parchment paper and drizzle with olive oil. Then put the salmon on the baking sheet, and also drizzle it with a little olive oil, lemon juice, chili powder, smoked pepper flakes, sea salt and black pepper. Bake in the oven for about 12-15 minutes. While the salmon is roasting, melt the butter in a frying pan, then add a tbsp of olive oil. Whisk the garlic until it gets brown, about 30 to 45 seconds. Add the onion and sauté until softened, about 1-2 minutes. Then add the mushrooms and whisk together until softened, about 2 to 3 minutes.
Broccoli:
Pour water into the pot, add some salt and wait for it to boil, then add broccoli. If you like broccoli to be crunchy, a minute or two is enough to cook. If you want it softer, up to 3 minutes is totally enough. When cooked, serve it immediately with other prepared dishes. Enjoy your meal!
