Spicy sweet potato fries
You don’t have to give up fries! Simply replace the red or white potatoes with a sweet potato that is very similar, but contains much more protein. In addition, this sugary vegetable has a low glycemic index, which means that they provide a slower absorption of glucose, making it suitable for diabetics. I usually spice it with olive oil and eat it with lettuce! Below is a recipe for spicy sweet potato fries that will delight you. Yummy.
Ingredients:
2 sweet potato, chopped as for fries
2 tbsp olive oil
half a tbsp Himalayan salt
⅓ tsp black pepper
⅓ red pepper flakes
Instructions:
Heat the oven to 220°C. Put baking paper in the baking sheet, spread the chopped sweet potatoes and drizzle with olive oil. Bake for about 25-30 minutes. Serve this healthy version of fries with your favorite salad and protein as desired.
