White bean hummus
If you prefer eating less cooked, light but filling foods, this recipe is for you. In case you never made traditional chickpea hummus, you can try hummus made from white beans. Hummus could be eaten with fresh carrots, peppers, celery or cucumber sticks.
Ingredients:
500 g white beans
lemon juice
1 tsp ground cumin
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 dl tahini paste (sesame paste)
salt and pepper to taste
1 dl extra virgin olive oil
Instructions:
Soak the beans overnight in a bowl full of water. Drain and rinse the white beans thoroughly the next day. After that, put the white beans in a pot and add water. Cook the beans on a high heat and bring them to boil. After that, lower the heat and cook the beans for about 50 minutes, until they are soft. Enjoy!
